Flashing Light 2 & 3
This code is a “spare”, generally not assigned to any fault, but if it does pop up it might be associated with an electronic problem in the washing machine, or a fault with the programme selector. It’s best not to ignore it just in case – call Capital Repairs for professional advice.

Flashing Light 2, 3, & 4
This is a tricky problem relating to the heating system in your Hotpoint washing machine. You’ll need a trained technician to check the heating element and wiring, control module connections and the components of the heating system.

This is an indicator of a broken connection or faulty cable somewhere inside the washing machine, or possibly the failure of an electronic control card.

This code is seen in a washer dryer if it the dryer overheating. If the problem persists even if the lint filters are clean and there are no blockages to the airflow, this could be caused by a faulty dryer motor or sensor.
