Having had excellent and quick service from Capital who sent engineers to sort out problems with my dishwasher and tumble dryer, I decided to buy a replacement dishwasher from them too. Very good follow up be email to organize the appointment; engineer came on time and repair was very quick; the only thing which could have been improved was to mention somewhere that ETA means Estimated time of arrival....it usually has another common meaning.

Hoover Washing Machine Error Codes

What you may not know, is that your machine is trying to tell you what is wrong with it. To the unknowing eye, it seems as if the error codes are all hieroglyphs. However, we at Capital Repairs can tell you exactly what the numbered codes mean. Read on to find out more.

List of Hoover Error Codes

Error 0 – Faulty electronic module, which needs connections to main control module checked.

Error 1 – Door safety lock error. Check the exterior of the lock for any faults.

Error 2 –Hoover washing machine does not fill in the pre-set time allowed. This could be due to the mains water pressure, a kink in the inlet hose, filter, water inlet valve or a wiring fault.

Error 3 – Hoover washing machine fails to drain water in the allotted time. This could be due to a blockage along the system somewhere along the journey or due to a sensor malfunction.

Error 4 – Multiple cases of anti-flood contacts in pressure switch.

Error 5 – Temperature sensor circuit fault or shorted.

Error 6 – EEPROM Failure; defective electronic controller.

Error 7 – Motor jam detected or door interlock fault.

Error 8 – Hoover washing machine motor tacho open circuited or shorted.

Error 9 – Short circuit motor on electronic module.

Error 12 – Communication fault between electronic control boards and wires.

Error 13 – Communication fault between control boards and wires.

Error 14 – Error detected with water heating elements.

Error 15 – Electronic control module defect.

Error 16 – Error detected with water heating elements.

Error 17 – No electric signal coming from motor tachometric generator.

Error 18 – Control module defective; wrong electrical input frequency.

E02 – Defect in inlet valve and issue with the machine filling with water.

E03 – Hoover washing machine experiencing an issue with water draining from the drum.

E06 – Unbalanced load in the drum. If this occurs, run an empty cycle to test there is nothing else is the matter.

E16 – Serious fault detected with water heating element.
